The Joan Koon Bellamy Archive contains photographs belonging to Joan Koon Bellamy. Her collection of photographs shared glimpses into her life as a child, a teenager, a friend, a nurse, a mother to children, dogs, and cats, a grandma, and an adventurer. These pictures are sorted into the following categories to make it easy for viewers to view the different parts of her life:
The Bellamy Family Collection features her children Ian Bellamy, Kathy Skinner, Dr. Henry “Bud” Maynard Bellamy III and his family, former husband Col. Henry Maynard Bellamy Jr. MD, his mother Ula Bellamy, and grandchildren Ana, Bri, and Elliot Bellamy.
The Childhood Collection features Joan as a young child to teenager.
The Dogs, Cats, and Other Furry Friends Collection features a multitude of pictures of Joan’s pets throughout the years.
The Eynon and Sarchet Family features her mother’s family before she married her husband Gordon Koon.
The Joan and Friends Collection features Joan and her many friends.
The Koon Family Collection features Joan’s mother and father, Grace Koon and her husband Gordon W. Koon. Also featuring Joan’s brother Gordon Koon and wife Bernice Lucile “Lu” Koon, and their children (John Koon, Charles Koon, and Bonnie Pope) and grandchildren (Josh Koon, Sean Koon, Traci Koon, Becky Pope, Derrick Pope, and Jayne Pope).
The Nurses Collection features pictures of Joan Bellamy and her friends at the McKeesport Hospital School of Nursing, the McKeesport Hospital, and her time as a nurse in the Air Force.
This website is managed by Ana Bellamy and created in the Summer of 2026 as a final project for their Community Archives class while attaining their Master’s of Library and Information Science Degree at the University of Pittsburgh.

This website is dedicated family who is living who wants to revisit old memories and share their stories.
This website is also dedicated to two very special people, my grandmother Joan Bellamy who was one of my largest supporters and my favorite person in the world, and my Uncle Bud, because without him I would not be as interested in my family ancestry and history.
